Fares to downtown Stuttgart: Taxi $30; Bus $5; Metro $3. From Stuttgart/Echterdingen Airport, 9 miles south of the city, spacious express buses depart every 20-30 minutes and drop-off at the Hauptbahnhof (train station). The S-Bahn #2 leaves every 20 minutes. |

Single fares, priced by zone distances, range from $1.50-$2.50; a 24-hour Rover ticket is available for $6 and is valid on all public systems. Single tickets are obtained at the city's orange vending machines located at streetcar stops (marked U or H). There is direct S-Bahn sevice between downtown Stuttgart and the airport between 8am-8pm.
