The Hotel Santa Maria Rome, Italy
is a guide certified "Hotel de Charme" and is situated inside a
former 16th century convent that has been, most recently, completely
renovated in the year 2000. Maintaining the flavour of the original
historic construction, this truly lovely hotel makes for a very
pleasant Roman base. Located inside the city's medieval "Old Rome"
Trastevere district, the hotel is nestled inside an intricate labyrinth
of colourful and vivacious narrow streets. The hotel has a one-floor
plan with all rooms revolving around a courtyard portico and facing
an ample garden of orange-trees, flowers and Mediterranean plants
- a perfect setting for enjoying breakfast on sunny Roman
days, or just for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. An ancient
artisan’s workshop has also been transformed into an elegant dining
room, and it will welcome you with freshly-baked croissants, cakes,
cookies, bread, as well as scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, salami,
cereal, yogourts and seasonal fresh fruit. All of the ground-floor
rooms are very comfortable and quiet, decorated with sunny colours
and floral motifs. Each room is appointed with simple but elegant
oak wood furniture, "cotto" tile floors, and all the modern amenities:
air conditioning, mini-bar, safe, satellite television, telephone,
and bathroom with bath or shower, plus hair-dryer. It is also possible
to drive directly to the hotel with parking available in the courtyard,
or in a garage next to the entrance of the hotel. A unique gem. |
