Description: |
San Simeon Hotel ai due Fanali Venice,
Italy, Built near the historic church of S. Simon the Prophet,
founded around the year 967, this delightful hotel was initially
an oratory in wood used by fishermen and gardeners, which was subsequently
rebuilt as an inviting Venetian hotel. The Hotel is located in the
Sestiere di S. Croce district, convenient for those arriving from
the train station or the Piazzale Roma and efficiently served by
public transport. A charming walk, moreover, through narrow alleys
and small squares leads to the central Piazza San Marco. Recently
refurbished, the hotel delights with a pleasant and intimate atmosphere,
its three floors facing the Campo S. Simeon Grande and the Grande
Canal. The 16 rooms have every modern comfort (safe, minibar, air
conditioning, television, telephone, private bathroom) and are tastefully
furnished with locally painted headboards, antique beams in the
ceiling, and other refined details. The bathrooms are decorated
with terracotta tiles and precious Carrara marble which contribute
to making these guestrooms comfortable and elegant. The Hotel also
offers four apartment suites near Piazza San Marco, on the Riva
degli Schiavoni, an interesting alternative to a hotel room, characterised
by greater privacy and efficient organisation in a comfortable,
typically Venetian atmosphere.
