When Club Med went searching for a Bahama residence
in the late 1970's, they found an ideal locale on the 21 acres of
the former Porcupine Club. They began, then, with plenty of winding
paths and curving palm trees, a lovely Georgian-style mansion and
lazy bungalows that continue to express turn-of-the-century simplicity
and elegance. This lovely Club Med then integrated
20 Har-Tru tennis courts (8 lit for night play), putting green, 3
excellent dining spots, disco and the Cub Med activity trademark.
