There's no electricity on deliciously remote Jost Van Dyke, so propane,
candles, and the moon shed the only light after dark. Rooms at this
hideaway are plain but pleasant, in four octagonal cottages surrounded
by rustling palms; alfresco showers are heated by sunshine alone.
The beach glows like new satin, and tiers of offshore reefs provide
superlative snorkeling and diving (B.Y.O. gear). At dinner, you'll
be joined by savvy yachtfolk who row in for the renowned cuisine;
