reached only by water. After unpacking, borrow a bike and explore
the 150-acre grounds, embracing gracious gardens, a salt-pond bird
sanctuary, and a shoreline pounded by the vigorous Atlantic surf.
The spacious, fancifully decorated suites are in cottages on this
beach, each with private outdoor shower and seagrape-sheltered terrace
(a calmer beach is a short bike ride away). Meals, on the castle patio,
