| Sunfish,
sailfish, hobie cats and windsurfing can be secured on almost any
of the island's beaches. Yacht sailing, catamarans or motorboats
can be rented at the island's largest outfit ATM (Ph: 596-749817)
in Le Marin. Bambou Yachting (Ph: 596-624657) in Le Marin
has a catamaran fleet and Ecole Nautisme Accastillage's (Ph:
596-651818), in Le Robert, specialty is motorboats. If scheduled,
don't miss the high-speed racing yoles (fishing boats) with expert
seaman hanging from the riggings. It's a thrill of a lifetime.

Scuba Diving |
| The waters off Ste.
Anne, Ilet Ramier, Cap Saloman and St. Pierre are the best waters
for diving. To explore the wrecks and underwater gardens at St.
Pierre, you must have insurance papers and medical certification.

Snorkeling |
| We found the best
snorkeling at the beautiful Anse-Mitan beach. Affaires Maritimes'
(Ph: 719005) snorkeling excursions, complete with picnic lunches
and excursions on the glass-bottomed Aquarium in Fort-de-France
(Ph: 614949) are fun-filled adventures. Snorkeling equipment
is found at the hotel resorts and at many of the island beaches.

| Enthusiasts can
contact the Tennis Club of Fort-de-France or La Ligue Regionale
de Tennis (Ph: 510800) to arrange a good match against island
residents. Many of the island hotels have courts, with some the

at the Meridien, charters half-day excursions which include breakfast.
