Martinique Shopping Overview
|
|
Some of the lowest prices in the Caribbean
for classic French imports are found in Fort-de-France. Perfumes
& cosmetics, scarves, fine china, crystal, leather goods, high
fashion and gourmet treats are handsomely presented in the shops
and boutiques of Rue Victor Hugo, Rue Moreau de Jones, Rue Lamartine
and at La Savane's open-air market. The delightful French rums,
Vieux Acajou and Jeune Acajou, are outstanding bargains. Martinique's
native crafts such as gold Creole jewelry, bangles, straw & bead
work, wood carvings and colorful wall hangings are recommended.
Be sure to explore Bezaudin close by Ste. Marie.
