| The most captivating area of the island
for beaches and diving is the southwest shore. Playa Palancar, Playa
San Francisco, Playa del Sol and the beach at Chankanaab National
Park are ideal for swimming and include amenities without being
too touristy. On the east shore Playa Bonita and Playa Chen Rio
go on for miles and are favorite spots for camping. On the north
shore Playa San Juan is a long stretch near the north shore hotels. |
